Biography: Phil McGraw came to fame after a series of appearances on The Oprah Winfrey Show from 1998. He had previously helped Oprah Winfrey win a court case through his legal consulting firm Courtroom Sciences, Inc. (CSI). The TV show "Bull" starring Michael Weatherly is based on McGraw's own history as a trial consultant.

McGraw launched his own talk show "Dr. Phil" in 2002, that he co-created with Oprah and which her production studio produced. Each episode focuses on a different topic and offers advice. The show has also produced spin-offs including the successful show "The Doctors", which began in 2008.
