Pokmon Series Trainer Tour Sets Release Date on Prime Video and Roku (EXCLUSIVE)

Pokémon is hitting the road in a yellow Pikachu bus with “Trainer Tour,” a new series that interviews and showcases mega fans across the country.
The series will be available to stream worldwide on Prime Video and the Roku Channel on July 31. The first episode will also be on the official Pokémon YouTube channel.
Pokémon content creators Meghan Camarena, aka Strawburry17, and Andrew Mahone, aka Tricky Gym, host the show to “meet and mentor aspiring trainers looking to foster connections with family and friends through their love of the Pokémon Trading Card Game.” Across eight episodes, the hosts travel far and wide in an electrifying Pikachu-themed tour bus to meet the Pokémon fans.

“‘Pokémon: Trainer Tour’ is a first-of-its-kind entertainment series for The Pokémon Company International, spotlighting individuals from Pokémon’s incredibly diverse fan base. While the Trainers recount their own unique life experiences in each episode, they all share a love for the Pokémon brand and Pokémon TCG. We hope that this passion extends to our viewers, providing a glimpse of what it means to be part of the Pokémon community,” said Andy Gose, senior director of media production at The Pokémon Company International. “This series offers fans an inside look into the varied experiences and heartfelt stories of some of the Trainers who make up the diverse array of Pokémon fans, and we’re so grateful to have had the opportunity to showcase how connections are fostered through the Pokémon TCG.”
While “Pokémon” franchise is normally known for its animated TV series, films and video games, “Trainer Tour” marks the first time it’s stepping into reality-type territory and showcasing the community in a project.
“We’re always looking for ways to engage yur audience, things that our audience will relate to and to bring “Pokémon” out to the world and connect with our fans,” Gose told Variety. “This is just one example, and we’ll continue on that quest. There’s really no limitations.”
“Pokémon: Trainer Tour” was developed by The Pokémon Company International and produced with The Intellectual Property Corporation (IPC).
